Community Spotlight – Bear Branch

The Bear Branch neighborhood can truly be viewed as being in the heart of Kingwood. This Kingwood village was started in 1978 and has just over 1000 homes. Located in the Humble ISD district it is one of the destinations many people moving to the Houston area look at first when they begin a home search. The recent shortage in home inventory has made finding a home in Bear Branch harder than in years past. The community offers an area pool, gazebo park, and community center. The HOA is managed by KAM and also give homeowners access to Kingwood Parks.

These parks are maintained by the KSA and provide residents access to the parks maintained by KSA.  These parks include Creekwood Nature, Deer Ridge, East End, North Park, and River Grove. They boast such amenities as golf disc park, boat ramp, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, hiking trails, pavillion, picnic areas, duck pond, playground area, and fishing. Like many of the communities in Kingwood the Bear Branch schools are close to home. Scores in that rank in the top of the Houston area Humble ISD is a main decision factor for many new transfers to the area. The greenbelt trail system in Kingwood can be found winding through Bear Branch as well.

When considering a home in the Bear Branch neighborhood some of the factors to consider are:

Average Bedrooms – 4 Average Bathrooms – 2.25 Median Square Feet – 2,752 Median Lot Square Feet – 10,800. Bear Branch is not located in a Utility District and services are provided by the City of Houston.

All in all Bear Branch is a community that continues to draw interest from people moving to Houston that are considering the Northeast Houston area as aplace to live. Easy access to 59 highway make for a relatively fair commute to the heart of the city.
